Job Description:
Installing Fixtures & Finishes: Collaborating with clients to meet aesthetic and functional requirements, installation of cabinets, doors, windows, panelling and custom furniture.
Repair & Maintenance: Reinforcing weakened sections and maintaining the integrity of buildings, inspect, repair, and replace damaged structures or fixtures.
Material & Tool Management: Operating of machinery and hand tools safely including saws, drills, sanders. Managing inventories and selecting appropriate materials.
Collaboration & Communication: To ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines, carpenters will work with other construction professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and architects.
Reading & Interpreting Blueprints: Ensuring accurate execution of designs and specifications to determine project requirements, analyse construction plans, technical drawings, materials and measurements.
Measuring, Cutting & Shaping Materials: Using tools and other materials according to specification to take precise measurements.
Constructing Frameworks & Structures: Ensuring that all components are level, square, and securely assembled, carpenters will build structural elements including walls, floors, roofs, doorframes, and staircases. Joiners will focus on the fabrication of wooden structures, including doors, window frames, and staircases.
Safety & Compliance: Using protective equipment to prevent accidents on construction sites, maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety regulations.
